Differences between DD brushless motors and BLDC brushless motors

Time:2025-10-15Views:9

Differences Between DD Brushless Motors and BLDC Brushless Motors

Firstly, the full name of a DD brushless motor is *Direct Drive* brushless motor, meaning it is a directly driven motor that eliminates the need for belts. Compared to traditional brushless motors, DD brushless motors offer significant advantages such as ultra-low vibration, ultra-quiet operation, high cleaning efficiency, energy savings, and a long lifespan. These features can comprehensively enhance the performance of washing machines. It is important to note that DD brushless motors specifically refer to DC brushless motors used in washing machines, not ordinary induction motors.

Secondly, BLDC brushless motors are a type of synchronous motor. This means that the magnetic field generated by the stator and the magnetic field produced by the rotor operate at the same frequency. BLDC brushless motors do not encounter the "slip frequency" issue commonly found in induction motors.

BLDC brushless motors can be configured as single-phase, two-phase, or three-phase. The number of stator windings corresponds to their type.
