International shipping involves multiple handling points and long distances. While we take every precaution to ensure your parcels arrive safely, unexpected events can occur. Our comprehensive shipping insurance provides peace of mind by protecting your shipments against loss, damage, theft, and significant delays.
Insurance Plans
- Basic Coverage (Included Free) — Automatic coverage up to ¥500 or $100 per shipment for loss or total damage. Covers carrier-attributable losses only.
- Standard Coverage (¥20 per shipment) — Coverage up to ¥5,000 per shipment. Covers loss, damage, and partial loss. Claims processed within 10 business days.
- Premium Coverage (1.5% of declared value) — Full coverage up to ¥100,000 per shipment. Covers loss, damage, partial loss, delay compensation, and consequential loss. Claims processed within 7 business days. Door-to-door coverage from pickup to delivery.
What's Covered
- Total loss of shipment during transit
- Physical damage to items during handling or transport
- Partial loss or missing items from consolidated shipments
- Theft or pilferage during transit
- Water damage, crushing, and impact damage
- Delay compensation (Premium plan only — ¥50/day after guaranteed delivery date)
How to File a Claim
- Submit a claim through your online dashboard within 15 days of delivery (or expected delivery date)
- Provide supporting evidence: photos of damaged items, packaging condition, and original value documentation
- Our claims team reviews and assesses the claim within 3 business days
- Approved claims are paid out within 7-10 business days via bank transfer or account credit
Exclusions
Insurance does not cover: items on the prohibited list, damage due to inadequate original packaging, normal wear and tear, currency fluctuations, or items shipped against our terms of service.
